Yue Hua Department Store has branches all
over Hong Kong. The main
branch where the photographs were taken
is in the Jordan district, which is on
the Kowloon Peninsular. This is next to
the main tourist area of Tsim Sha Tsui.
The main branch is the only one where live
turtles are available in
the supermarket but all the others have
a TCM department where
products which contain turtle parts are
sold.
A number of illegal Indotestudo elongata
were
recently confiscated from the main branch
but the main species found there
are C. trifasciata, C. flavomarginata
and, sometimes, P. megacephalum.
