TortoiseAid's Wish and Needs List

TortoiseAid maintains a rehabilitation center and sanctuary for
tortoises and turtles of all species.  We also house and rehabilitate many species of arid dwelling lizards. Many animals come to us, having been
abandoned, sick, injured, exploited, or displaced from the wild.

Our rehabilitation center and sanctuary is located in the Western Mojave Desert
of California.  Here we provide all animals with the assistance they need.
NO animal has ever been turned away.

We have recently purchased a beautiful 2.5 acre parcel of land, and need to develop this land for sanctuary purposes.  Located in a wonderful remote area, we hope this will provide hundreds of animals a safe place to heal, to be humanely held pending adoption or in legal cases in which animals cannot be placed until litigation is complete, and in some cases,  permanent sanctuary for those animals which have specialized needs.  To view this land, CLICK HERE

Providing proper veterinary assistance, species specific housing, and
rehabilitation facilities is a huge undertaking!

Different species MUST be housed separately, and all animals must be
quarantined from one another.

Finally, all species have different requirements as to substrate, diet, and temperature. When donating items to TortoiseAid, you are DIRECTLY assisting animals who desperately need help.
