In Memory of Jill Martin

When I think of the words compassionate, selfless, dedicated, caring, and kind, there is a special human being who comes to my mind.

Her caring heart and giving nature touched the lives of  thousands of animals.   She comforted, cared for, and gave her voice, without reservation to any creature in need, and did so without a second thought.  She was a rare human being in that she didn't need to think at all.  This was (and always will be) the essence of her very soul.

She was a dear, cherished friend and a sister to those blessed to know her.  She was a wonderful daughter to her loving parents.  She was an advisor, a friendly voice, and a steady shoulder when all else seemed cruel in this world.  And she was so much more. She gave of her time, her energy, and poured her entire heart into everything she put her hands to without reservation, ever so quietly.  Her heart was bigger than she was.  Bigger than life itself.

She was my mentor,  a dear and deeply cherished friend to me.

And she was taken from us far too soon.

Jill,  I will always and forever be thankful for the time we spent together.

You will always be a bright candle that lights my way when the going gets tough, and I feel that I can't stand to be a witness to man's cruelty any longer.

If the world had only a fraction of the compassion you practiced every day of your life...

I will do my very best to carry the torch that you so cherished. You trusted me,  and showed me your path,  and I will do my very best to follow it,  knowing you are never far away.

I miss you Jill...so very much.

~With All My Love~
