Welcome to one of the most comprehensive sites on the net regarding this crisis.
Every day, thousands of turtles are ripped from their homes in the wild throughout Asia.
Most of these
turtles end up as food, or are used for "medicinal cures." Others are
purchased from
the "wet markets" and are sold into the pet trade.
Sadly, most all
of them will die.
The threats facing
the very survival of ALL Asian species of turtles
is astronomical.
Unless we do something to stop this NOW, it'll be too late for
many beautiful
species, they'll be eaten out of existence.
For some, it may already too late.....
Please use these
links and do what you can to help put an end to the mass
collection, suffering,
inhumane transportation, cruel slaughter, and possible
extinction of
what amounts to MILLIONS of turtles yearly.
PLEASE NOTE:
Images on some
pages are graphic and may be disturbing to view

| The purpose of these links is to supply a list of websites and contact details for organisations which could prove to be useful for chelonia keepers and researchers around the world. With the increasing need to develop breeding groups of Asian turtles and tortoises, I hope that this site will enable people to find out more detailed information regarding the home countries of their charges.
